The author discusses the existence of hyperbolic links with Brunnian property of type \({\mathcal A}\). Let \({\mathcal A}\) be a family of subsets S of \(I_ n=\{1,2,...,n\}\) which satisfies the following conditions: (1) \(\emptyset \not\in {\mathcal A}\), \(\{\) \(i\}\not\in {\mathcal A}\) for all \(i\in I_ n\), (2) If S,T\(\in {\mathcal A}\) and \(S\cap T\neq \emptyset\), then \(S\cup T\in {\mathcal A}\). A k-link with n components is said to have the Brunnian property of type \({\mathcal A}\) if the sublink \(L_ S=\cup_{i\in S}L_ i\) of L does not split for each \(S\in {\mathcal A}\). In the previous paper [Arch. Math. 44, 369-372 (1985; Zbl 0545.57006)], the author has already constructed such a link for each \(k\geq 1\) and \(n\geq 2\), where the link is a satellite link. Now, he constructs such a 1-link with hyperbolic exterior by an argument over tangles.
