The classical Bargmann isometry \(f\mapsto e^{-t\Delta}f\) is a map of \(L^2(\mathbf R^n)\) onto the Hilbert space \(\mathcal H_t\) of entire functions on \(\mathbf C^n\) square-integrable with respect to the Gaussian measure \((2\pi t)^{-n/2} e^{-| \text{Im} z| ^2/2t} dz\); here \(t\) can be any positive number. \textit{B.~Hall} [J. Funct. Anal. 153, 98-116 (1997; Zbl 0838.22004)] has obtained an interesting generalization of this transform by replacing \(\mathbf R^n\) with a compact Lie group \(H\), and \(\mathcal H_t\) with the space of holomorphic functions on the complexification \(H_{\mathbf C}\) square-integrable with respect to a certain measure. In the present paper this generalization is taken one step further by replacing \(H\) with a symmetric space \(X\) of compact type and \(\mathcal H_t\) with a space of holomorphic functions on the complexification \(X_{\mathbf C}\) square-integrable with respect to the product of the Riemannian measure on \(X\) and a certain heat kernel measure on the fiber \(X_{\mathbf C}/X\) (this fiber can be identified with the symmetric space of noncompact type dual to \(X\)). The main ingredient of the proof is the ``F.B.I. transform'' studied in the earlier paper by \textit{F. Golse, E. Leichtman} and the author [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 29, 669-736 (1996; Zbl 0889.32037)].
