Stability of the equilibrium state of the equation system of a viscous barotropic gas in the model of atmosphere (Q867734)

The authors study the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic stability of the solutions to the equations of viscous gas motion characterized by the constitutive law \(p = h \rho^\gamma,\) with \(1 < \gamma < 2, \;h> 0 \;\text{const.}\), in a domain defined by two levels of geopotential, under Coriolis force and the force due to the geopotential.
