The dynamic of a Lie group endomorphism (Q1698467)

In the paper, special classes of Lie algebras and Lie groups are considered. In the first part, properties of Lie subalgebras induced by endomorphisms are considered. The second part contains definitions and properties of real Lie subgroups induced by endomorphisms. Comments and remarks on properties of Lie group endomorphisms are discussed. An illustrative example of the group of real matrices of order 2 and trace 0 is presented. It should be pointed out that the pure theoretical results taken directly from linear algebra may be used in certain controllability problems, see e.g. the recent paper by the third author [SIAM J. Control Optim. 54, No. 1, 372--390 (2016; Zbl 1331.93097)].
