Hermite interpolation in one and two dimensions is one of the primary tools for the approximation of functions and data. In this paper, Hermite interpolation is studied in several forms, including univariate polynomials, its extension to more than one dimension by tensor-product Hermite interpolation and Hermite interpolation by bivariate splines on T-meshes. This work also includes error estimates for the Hermite interpolation process when the approximant is sufficiently smooth.
