    Let \(\Omega= (0,1)\), \(\varepsilon\) be a positive parameter, \(m\) be a positive integer and \(\Omega_0= \bigcup^m_{j=1} \Omega_{0,j}\) be a subset of \(\Omega\), where \(\Omega_{0,j}= (a_j,b_j)\subset\Omega\) with \(\overline\Omega_{0,i}\cap\overline\Omega_{0,j}= \emptyset\) for \(i\neq j\), and \(\overline\Omega_0\subset (0,1)\). The authors consider the family of semilinear problems \[ \begin{gathered} u_t= (p_\varepsilon(x) u_x)_x+ c(x) u+ f(u),\quad x\in\Omega,\\ {\partial u\over\partial n}+ b(x) u= g(u)\quad\text{for }x\in\{0,1\}.\end{gathered}\tag{1} \] The authors assume that \[ p_\varepsilon(x)\to \begin{cases} p(x) &\text{uniformly in }\Omega_1= \Omega\setminus\overline\Omega_0,\\ \infty &\text{uniformly on compact subsets of }\Omega_0.\end{cases} \] Under some additional assumptions on the data of (1), the authors prove the existence of invariant manifolds for (1) and using the transversality of invariant manifolds of hyperbolic points, they show that (1) and its limit problem are topologically equivalent on the attractors.
