The author of this paper discusses Tasoev's continued fractions, which are of the form \[ [0;\underbrace{a,\dots,a}_m,\underbrace{a^2,\dots,a^2}_m, \dots]\equiv[0;\underbrace{\overline{a^k,\dots,a^k}}_m]_{k=1}^\infty,\;(m\geq1), \] and for a modified form he proves that \[ [0;\overline{ua^{2k-1}-1,1,va^{2k}-1}]_{k=1}^\infty=\frac{\sum_{s=0}^\infty u^{-s-1}v^{-s}a^{-(s+1)^2} \prod_{i=1}^s (a^{2i}-(-1)^i)^{-1}} {\sum_{s=0}^\infty (-1)^su^{-s}v^{-s}a^{-s^2} \prod_{i=1}^s (a^{2i}-(-1)^i)^{-1}} \] and similar result for \([0;\overline{ua^k-1,1,va^k-1}]_{k=1}^\infty\). He discusses also the Rogers--Ramanujan continued fractions \[ R(x;a)=1+\frac{ax}{1+\frac{ax^2}{1+\frac{ax^3}{1+\dots}}} \] and proves the relations: \(R(q^{-1};u^{-1})=[1;\overline{uq^k,q^k}]_{k=1}^\infty\) and \(R(q^{-2};q)=[1;q,q^2,q^3,\dots]\).
