The lecture notes present a generalization of a classical von Kármán system in \(\mathbb{R}^2\). In contrast to von Kármán system \[ u_{tt}+\Delta^2u=N(f,u)+N(\varphi,u),\;\Delta^2f=-N(u,u) \] for a moderately large deflection \(u\) and an Airy stress function \(f\) of a thin plate, presented generalization to \(\mathbb{R}^{2m},\;m\in \mathbb{N}_{m\geq 2}\) does not expresses any mechanical or another application. The authors study the initial value problem \[ \begin{aligned} &u_{tt}+\Delta^m u=N(f(u),u^{(m-1)})+N(\varphi^{(m-1)},u),\;\Delta^m f=-M(u)\;\text{on}\;[0,T]\times \mathbb{R}^{2m};\\ & u^{(m-1)}=(u,\dots,u),\;\varphi^{(m-1)}=(\varphi,\dots,\varphi)\;m\text{-times};\;u(0)=u_0,\;u_t(0)=u_1; \\ & N(u_1,\dots,u_m):=\delta_{j_1,\dots,j_m}^{i_1,\dots,i_m}\partial_{i_1}\partial_{j_1}u_1\dots\partial_{i_m}\partial_{j_m}u_m,\;M(u):=N(u,\dots,u). \end{aligned} \] They formulate weak and strong solutions in the anisotropic Sobolev spaces and establish the existence of global weak and local in time strong solutions depending on the space regularity. Similar results are obtained for the generalized parabolic model of the equations of von Kármán type.
