Let \(f:\mathbb R\to\mathbb R\) be a nondecreasing function with a) \(f'(x)=0\) almost everywhere b) \(S:=\{x\in\mathbb R; D^{+}f(x)+D^{-}f(x)=\infty\}\) is countable. Then i) \(f\) is the sum of jump functions ii) any open interval \(I\) on which \(f\) is not constant contains a subinterval \((t-\varepsilon, t+\varepsilon)\) such that \(f\) is constant on the intervals \((t-\varepsilon, t)\) and \((t,t+\varepsilon)\) and \(f(t-)=f(t+)\).
