It has been known for a compact Riemann surface of genus \(5\) that the maximal weight of any of its Weierstrass points is \(5\) [see \textit{T. Kato}, Math. Ann. 239, 141--147 (1979; Zbl 0401.30037)]. From there it easily follows that there are only two possible gap sequences producing maximal weight: \((1,2,4,5,8)\) and \((1,2,3,5,9)\). In the paper under review, the author proves that for any non-hyperelliptic compact Riemann surface of genus \(5\) whose Weierstrass points are all of maximal weight the only possible gap sequence is \((1,2,3,5,9)\). Next, he gives an example showing that this is exactly the case with the complex curve with an affine plane model given by \(y^4 = x(x^2-1)(x^2+1)^2\). Finally, it turns out that the curve is the same as the one suggested by \textit{A. Del Centina} [Indag. Math., New Ser. 15, No. 3, 339--346 (2004; Zbl 1057.14036)].
