The asymptotic behavior of solutions to the equation \(u_{tt}-\Delta u+| u| ^4ug(| u| )\) in \(\mathbb{R}^{1+3}\) is discussed. If \(g\: (0,\infty )\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) is supposed to be smooth nonincreasing function of the logarithmic growth at zero the solution of the initial value problem scatters in the logarithmically weighted Sobolev spaces. In the case of \(g(u)=\log ^{\alpha }(2+| u| ^2)\) the scattering results of \textit{T. Tao} [J. Hyperbolic Differ. Equ. 4, No. 2, 259--265 (2007; Zbl 1124.35043)] for \(\alpha \in (0,1]\) are extended to \(\alpha \in (0,4/3).\)
