The authors investigate positive solutions of the strongly coupled system of nonlinear parabolic equations \[ u_t-a(u,v)\Delta u=g(u,v), \qquad v_t-b(u,v)\Delta v=h(u,v) \] in a bounded domain and supplemented with boundary conditions \(\partial u/\partial\eta=d(u,v)\), \(\partial v/\partial \eta=f(u,v)\), where \(\eta\) is the unit outward normal vector to the boundary. Using a standard comparison principle for parabolic equations, they find conditions on the functions \(a,b,g,h,d,f\) under which solutions either exist globally or blow up in finite time.
