Four different interpolation methods, namely pseudo-spectral, linear, cubic splines, and Hermite interpolation are compared in conjunction with particle position and velocities in Lagrangian calculations. The investigation concludes with the statement, that for wall-bounded turbulent flows the accuracy of the interpolation schemes has a significant effect on Lagrangian statistics, and that Hermite interpolation is substantially more accurate than either cubic splines or trilinear interpolation.
