In this paper it is proved that the isomorphism class of a generalized polygon with sufficiently many collineations is characterized by the isotopy class of its coordinating structures. Corollary 3.6. Let \(\mathcal P\) be a generalized \(n\)-gon with a collineation group acting transitively on the set of all ordered ordinary \((n+1)\)-gons. Then all normalized polygonal domains of \(\mathcal P\) are normally isotopic. A vertex \(p\) of a generalized \(n\)-gon \(\mathcal P\) is called a pseudo elation center if there is a collineation group which fixes all lines incident with \(p\) and which acts transitively on the set \({\mathcal P}_n(p)\). A generalized \(n\)-gon \(\mathcal P\) is called a multiple pseudo elation generalized polygon, if \({\mathcal P}\) has at least two pseudo elation centers. Theorem 4.7. Let \(\mathcal P\), \({\mathcal P}'\) be multiple pseudo elation generalized \(n\)-gons with standard polygonal domains \(\mathcal M\), \({\mathcal M}'\). Then \(\mathcal P\) and \({\mathcal P}'\) are isomorphic if and only if \(\mathcal M\) and \({\mathcal M}'\) are isotopic.
