Recently the first author [ibid. 11, 277-279 (1984; Zbl 0548.76072)] has studied the flow through a very porous medium bounded by semi-infinite plate when the free-stream velocity is constant. The purpose of this paper is the study of the steady flow through a very porous medium bounded by a semi-infinite plate when the fluid is viscous and the free stream velocity is not constant.
