The authors are interested in pulsating wave speeds of the scalar bistable reaction-diffusion equation in the spatially periodic case. It is known that in each direction, there exists a unique admissible wave sped. Furthermore, continuity and even differentiability of this single speed with respect to direction was proven in [\textit{H. Guo}, Calc. Var. Partial Differ. Equ. 57, No. 2, Paper No. 47, 37 p. (2018; Zbl 1403.35038)], but only when the speed is everywhere positive. Here this latter assumption is relaxed and continuity is shown even when the speed is null in some directions. The paper also contains another result on the existence of pulsating waves in the case of rapid oscillations, using some homogenization technique.
