This third paper in a series uses the results of the preceding two (see Zbl 0578.17009 and Zbl 0578.17010). -- A Lie algebra \(L=\sum_{a\in R}L_ a\) is a GCAZ (generalized classical Albert-Zassenhaus) Lie algebra with GCAZ Cartan subalgebra \(L_ 0\) if (1) \(a([L^ 1_ a,L^ 1_{-a}])\neq 0\) for \(a\in R-\{0\}\) and (2) \([L_ a,L_ b]=L_{a+b}\) if \(a, b, a+b\in R-\{0\}\) where \(a\neq b\) and either \(a\) or \(b\) (or both) is Witt. A Lie algebra \(L=\sum_{a\in R}L_ a\) is a CAZK (classical Albert-Zassenhaus-Kaplansky) Lie algebra with CAZK Cartan subalgebra \(L_ 0\) if (1) holds and \([L_ a,L_ b]=L_{a+b}\) for all \(a,b\in R\setminus\{0\}\) with \(a\neq \pm b\). The author classifies the root systems of these classes of algebras up to isomorphism. He also investigates Weyl groups and automorphism groups of symmetric Lie algebras whose root systems have no sections of type \(T_ 2\).
