    The authors consider iterated function systems (IFSs) on \([0,1]\subset\mathbb{R}\) of the form \[ S_i (x) = r_i x +a_i, \quad i= 1, \ldots, N, \] where \(1<N\in \mathbb{N}\), and \(a_i, r_i\in \mathbb{R}\) with \[ 0 = a_1<a_1+r_1\leq a_2<a_2+r_2\leq \cdots \leq a_N< a_N+r_N = 1. \] The attractor of this IFS is a self-similar Cantor subset \(C\) of \(\mathbb{R}\). The average distance between two points of \(C\) is studied. In the case \(N=2\), \(r_1 = r_2 := r\in (0,\frac12]\), and \(a_2 = 1-r\), the exact asymptotic behavior of the higher order average moments of the self-similar measure associated with this IFS is investigated.
