Let \((W,\Omega, G)\) and \((V,\omega ,g)\) be two symplectic manifolds endowed with the so called adapted Riemannian metric \(G\) and a Riemannian metric \(g\) respectively. The authors prove that if \(f_0:V\to W\) is a symplectic embedding, i.e., \(f^*_0(\Omega )=\omega \), the map \(f_0\) is \(g\)-short (i.e. \(g-f^*_0(G)>0\)), and \(\dim W\geq \max(2\dim V+4, 3\dim V),\) then there exists a \(C^1\)-embedding \(f:V\to W,\) arbitrarily \(C^0\)-close to \(f_0\), which satisfies \(f^*(G)=g\) and \(f^*(\Omega )=\omega .\) As a corollary, the author obtains that there exists a \(C^1\)-embedding satisfying the last two conditions provided \(\dim W\geq \max (2\dim V+4, 3\dim V)\), the cohomology classes of the forms \(\omega \) and \(f^*_0(\Omega )\) coincide and the differential \(Df_0:T(V)\to T(W)\) is homotopic through injective homomorphisms to a symplectic homomorphism.
