    The present paper studies the unramified Brauer group \(\mathrm{Br}_{nr}(\mathbb C(G))\) and the unramified cohomology group \(H^3_{nr}(\mathbb C(G), \mathbb Q/\mathbb Z)\). It is well know that these groups are obstructions to the rationality of \(\mathbb C(G)\) over \(\mathbb C\). \textit{E. Peyre} [Invent. Math. 171, No. 1, 191--225 (2008; Zbl 1155.12003)] proves that, if \(p\) is an odd prime number, then there is a group \(G\) such that \(|G| = p^{12}\) and \(\mathrm{Br}_{nr}(\mathbb C(G))=0\) but \(H^3_{nr}(\mathbb C(G), \mathbb Q/\mathbb Z)\neq 0\). Using Peyre's method the authors show that there exists a group \(G\) of order \(p^9\) with this property.
