This paper studies the Calabi-Yau flow on toric varieties with bounded Sobolev constant and on general Kähler manifolds which are quasi-proper. The results are formulated as follows. Theorem 1. Let \(X\) be a toric variety with Delzant polytope \(P\). Let \(\varphi(t)\), \(0\leq t<T<\infty\) be a one-parameter family toric invariant relative Kähler potentials satisfying the Calabi flow equation. Suppose that the Sobolev constant of \(\varphi(t)\) is uniformly bounded. Then \(|\varphi(t)|_{L^{\infty}}<C\), \(\forall t\in[0,T)\), where \(C\) is some constant independent of \(t\). The next result addresses the global convergence of the (modified) Calabi flow assuming that \((X,P)\) is uniformly \(K\)-stable. Theorem 2. If \((X,P)\) is uniformly \(K\)-stable, then the modified Calabi flow converges to an extremal Kähler metric exponentially fast if {\parindent=0.6cm \begin{itemize}\item[{\(\bullet\)}] The Calabi flow starts from a toric invariant Kähler metric; \item[{\(\bullet\)}] The Sobolev constant is uniformly bounded along the flow; \item[{\(\bullet\)}] The Ricci curvature is uniformly bounded along the flow. \end{itemize}} These results are extended to Kähler manifolds which are quasi-proper. Theorem 3. Let \((X,J,\omega)\) be a quasi-proper Kähler manifold. Let \(\varphi(t)\), \(t\in [0,T)\) be a one-parameter family of relative Kähler potentials satisfying the Calabi flow equation. Then \(|\varphi(t)|_{L^{\infty}}\) is uniformly bounded for \(t\in [0,T)\) if the Sobolev constant is uniformly bounded in \([0,T)\).
