Let \(a,b,c,d\) be real numbers, \(D=b^2c^2+18abcd-4ac^3-4b^3d-27a^2d^2\) the discriminant of the cubic polynomial \(ax^3+bx^2+cx+d\). The author proves: For \(D<0\) \[ \int_{\mathbb R}\frac{1}{\root 3\of {(ax^3+bx^2+cx+d)^2}}\,dx=\frac{C_-}{\root 6\of {-D}}, \] where \(C_-=\root 3\of {2} B\left(\frac12, \frac16\right)\), \(B\) the Beta function. For \(D>0\) \[ \int_{\mathbb R}\frac{1}{\root 3\of {(ax^3+bx^2+cx+d)^2}}\,dx=\frac{C_+}{\root 6\of {D}}, \] where \(C_+=3B\left(\frac13, \frac13\right)\)
