A quasitoric manifold is a \(2n\)-dimensional manifold \(M\) with an effective action of an \(n\)-dimensional torus \(T\) which satisfies two conditions: The action is locally modeled on the standard action of \(T\) on \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and the orbit space \(M/T\) is a simply convex polytope. In this paper it is shown that every \(4\)-dimensional quasitoric manifold is equivariantly cobordant to a disjoint union of several copies of \(\mathbb{C} P^2\). The proof of this result is based on an explicit construction of \(5\)-dimensional \(T^2\)-manifolds \(W\) such that all boundary components of \(W\) are quasitoric and the classification of \(4\)-dimensional quasitoric manifolds given by \textit{P. Orlik} and \textit{F. Raymond} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 152, 531--559 (1970; Zbl 0216.20202)].
