Let \(l_{2}\) denote the usual infinite dimensional separable Hilbert space. For any positive integer \(Q\), let \(\mathcal{D}_{Q}(l_{2})\) denote the space of unordered \(Q\)-tuples of elements in \(l_2\). Thus \(\mathcal{D}_{Q}(l_{2})\) is the quotient of \((l_{2}^{Q})\) under the action of the symmetric group given by \(\sigma.(u_{1},\dots,u_{Q})\longmapsto(u_{\sigma(1)},\dots,u_{\sigma(Q)})\). Let \(\omega: [0,1]\longrightarrow\mathbb{R}_{+}\) be a monotone increasing function with \(\omega(0)=\lim_{r\searrow 0^{+}}\omega(r)=0\), \(1<p<+\infty\) and an open set \(U\subset \mathbb{R}\), a \(u\in W^{1}_{p}(U,\mathcal{D}_{Q}(l_{2}))\) is said to be a \((\omega,p)\)-Dir-minimizing function, if for any ball \(B(x,r)\subset U\), \(\mathcal{E}(u,B(x,r))\leq(1+\omega(r))\mathcal{E}(v,B(x,r))\), whenever \(v\in W^{1}_{p}(B(x,r),\mathcal{D}_{Q}(l_{2}))\) and \(v=u\) on \(\partial B(x,r)\). The authors prove that there exists \(\delta=\delta(p,m,\omega,Q)\in ]0,1[\) such that any \((\omega,p)\)-Dir-minimizing function \(u\in W^{1}_{p}(U,\mathcal{D}_{Q}(l_{2}))\) is Hölder continuous in \(U\) with an exposent \(\delta\). Moreover, if \(p=2\) and \(f\) is squeeze and squash stationary then \(f\) is in VMO. These results extend some parts of Almgren's theory of \(Q\)-valued functions to infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces.
