The main object under consideration in the present paper is a class of measures in the complex plane of the form \[ \mu=\nu+\sigma+\sum_k \mu_k\delta(z_k) \] where \(\nu\) is an arbitrary finite measure in the open unit disk \(D\), \(\sigma\) is a measure on the unit circle \(T\) from the Szegő class, and \(\mu_k>0\), \(\sum_k\mu_k<\infty\) the masses located on a sequence of points \(z_k\) with \(| z_k| >1\), satisfying the Blaschke condition. The authors prove the Szegő limit theorems in such class of measures. Specifically, let \(p_n=\kappa_{nz}^n+\ldots\) be orthonormal polynomials with respect to \(\mu\), and \(\kappa_n>0\). Then \[ \lim_{n\to\infty} \kappa_n=\exp\biggl(-\frac {1}{2}\int_T \log\sigma' \,dm\biggr)\,\prod_{k}|z_k|^{-1}\,, \] and for every complex \(z\) with \(| z| >1\) \[ \lim_{n\to\infty}p_n(z)z^{-n}=B\psi, \] where \(B\) is the Blaschke product over \(z_k\) and \(\psi\) the outer function in the exterior of the unit disk so that \(| \psi| ^{-2}=\sigma'\) on \(T\) and \(\psi(\infty)>0\). The Koosis tool on weighted Hilbert transforms seems to be the most natural tool to establish this result.
