The authors begin this article by conjecturing that the only objects that can destabilize a line bundle \(L\) on a surface with respect to a Bridgeland stability condition determined by a divisor are \(L(-C)\) where \(C\) is a curve of negative self-intersection. Similarly, they conjecture the only destabilizing objects of \(L[1]\) are \(L(C)|_C\). In the rest of the paper, they prove these conjectures in the case that there are no curves of negative self-intersection and in the case where the Picard rank is two and there is at most one curve of negative self-intersection. In particular, these results imply that line bundles are always Bridgeland stable for these stability conditions on surfaces with no curves of negative self-intersection and that the conjecture holds for Hirzebruch surfaces.
