In this paper, the authors consider minimizers for nonlocal energy functionals with the elastic energies related with the theory of peridynamics and nonlocal diffusion models. Under two sets of growth assumptions for the integrand, the authors prove a nonlocal version of the Euler-Lagrange equation. Moreover, they establish the existence of minimizers for integrands with convexity assumption in the function and nonlocal gradient components. Finally, by using the convolution structure, a regularity result for the solutions for some Euler-Lagrange equations, is proved. It is interesting to observe that no growth assumptions are needed for the existence and regularity of minimizers results.
