Let \(\mu \) be a Borel probability measure on a separable Banach space \(X\). A class \(\mathcal U\) of subsets of \(X\) is said to be \(\mu \)-continuous if \(\mu (\partial U)=0\) for every \(U \in \mathcal U\), and is said to be uniformly \(\mu \)-continuous if for every \(\varepsilon > 0\) there is a \(\delta > 0\) such that \(\mu (\partial_\delta U) < \varepsilon\) for all \(U \in \mathcal U\), where \(\partial_\delta U\) stands for the \(\delta\)-neighborhood of the boundary of \(U\). In the paper, the \(\mu \)-continuity and uniform \(\mu \)-continuity of classes of convex bodies in \(X\), especially of balls and half-spaces, is considered. In particular, it is shown that, for every subspace \(X\) of \(\ell_p\), \(1<p<\infty\), and for every \(\mu \), the \(\mu \)-continuity of the class \(\mathcal B_1\) of all balls in \(X\) with radii \(\leq 1\) implies the uniform \(\mu \)-continuity of \(\mathcal B_1\). This answers for \(1<p<\infty\) a question posed by \textit{F.~Topsøe} [Math. Scand. 38, 148--158 (1976; Zbl 0319.28007)]. A partial answer to the same question for subspaces of \(\ell_1\) is also given.
