This paper studies the solutions of \((L_g +\lambda)u=f\) on an ``anti-de Sitter-like'' \(n\)-dimensional Lorentzian manifold with boundary, with metric \(g=x^{-2}\hat g\), where \(x=0\) defines the boundary and \(\hat g\) is smooth; here, \(L_g\) is the wave operator, the boundary is time-like for \(\hat g\), and \(\lambda<(n-1)^2/4\). The main global assumption is the existence of a smooth function \(t\), with range \(\mathbb R\), that is strictly monotone on the projection of ``generalized broken bicharacteristics''. Results include (i) global well-posedness and (ii) propagation of singularities in terms of an appropriate version of the \(H^m\) wave front set, proved via commutator estimates. The paper also assumes that \(t\) is proper (p.~86), but the author states that many of the results, especially those on propagation of singularities, do not require this.
