In this paper the authors study the heat kernel of the subelliptic Laplacian over the octonionic anti-de Sitter space. If one replaces the octonionic projective line \(\mathbb{O}P^1\) in the octonionic Hopf fibration \(S^15/S^7\cong \mathbb{O}P^1\) with the ``octonionic hyperbolic line'' \(\mathbb{O}H^1\) one obtains an analogous hyperbolic fibration \(\mathrm{AdS}^{15}(\mathbb{O})/S^7\cong\mathbb{O}H^1\) where the corresponding total space \(\mathrm{AdS}^{15}(\mathbb{O})\) is called the \textit{octonionic anti-de Sitter space}. Analogously to \(S^{15}\subset\mathbb{R}^{16}\) there exists an embedding \(\mathrm{AdS}^{15}(\mathbb{O})\subset\mathbb{R}^{8,8}\) consequently considered as a \(15\) real dimensional manifold the octonionic anti-de Sitter space naturally inherits an orientation and a \((8,7)\)-type pseudo-Riemannian metric \(g\) having constant negative curvature. Hence one can construct the corresponding Laplace-Beltrami operator (or scalar Laplacian) \(\Delta_g\) over \((\mathrm{AdS}^{15}(\mathbb{O}), g)\) which is therefore not an elliptic operator. After constructing (the radial part of) \(\Delta_g\) explicitly in various coordinate systems (see Section 3 of the article) the authors exhibit their main result, namely two explicit integral representations of the heat kernel of \(\Delta_g\) (see Propositions 4.1 and 4.2 in the article).
