The purpose of this paper is to study the motion of conducting fluids in an electromagnetic field (Magnetohydrodynamics or MHD equations) under certain assumptions for the viscosity coefficients. These results extend the previous studies for the case when the viscosity coefficients are both constant. The main results are three similar theorems: For certain initial data, there exist unique global classical solutions for the compressible MHD in \(\mathbb{R}^2\). The proofs are divided into several steps. These proofs use Riesz transform, Aubin-Lions Lemma, Sobolev embedding, Sobolev-Poincaré, Brézi-Wainger, Beale-Kato-Majda type, Gronwall, Gagliardo-Nirenberg, and Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg weighted inequalities. In a corrigendum, the author corrects himself by showing that the results are true when the estimates of a constant \(\beta\) are changed from \(\beta>1\) to \(\beta>\frac 43\).
