Well-posedness of the boundary value problem of vanishing boundary data of \(u\left(\cdot,\theta\right)\) on the inflowing boundary part for the radiative transport equation \, \(\theta\cdot\nabla_{x}u\left(\cdot,\theta\right)+\sigma\left(\cdot,\theta\right)u\left(\cdot,\theta\right)=f\left(\cdot\right)+\int_{\eta\in S^{n-1}}k\left(\cdot,\theta,\eta\right)u\left(\cdot,\eta\right) do\left(\eta\right)\) for all directions \(\theta\in S^{n-1}\), which arises in optical molecular imaging, is studied. The main result of the paper is to show that generic absorption coefficients \(\sigma\) and collision kernels \(k\) can be recovered from measurements of \(u\) at the outflowing boundary part.
