In this very intersting paper the author studies thoroughly the lattice points of a lattice $\Lambda$, containing $\mathbb{Z}^n$, which are lying in $[0,1)^n$. His main result gives a characterization of the linear hyperplanes containing all points of $\Lambda\cap [0,1)^n$ which, in particular, extends Reid's Terminal Lemma cf. \textit{M. Reid} [Young person's guide to canonical singularities, Algebraic geometry, Proc. Summer Res. Inst., Brunswick/Maine 1985, part 1, Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 46, 345--414 (1987; Zbl 0634.14003)], to these general class of lattices. \par As one of the corollaries of this characterization, an explicit formula for the dimension of the subspace generated by $\Lambda\cap [0,1)^n$ is obtained.
