The author derives a correspondence between polynomial representations of the Temperley-Lieb algebra and \(q\)-deformations of the quantum Hall effect wave functions. It is shown that when \(q\) is a third root of unity, the representation degenerates. In particular, in the case of the Halperin wave function [\textit{B. A.\ Halperin}, Helv.\ Phys.\ Acta, 56, 75 (1983)], the braid group representation degenerates to a trivial representation. In this way the equality between the sum of the components of the transfer matrix eigenvector and the six vertex model partition function with domain wall boundary conditions [\textit{A. V.\ Razumov} and \textit{Y. G.\ Stroganov}, Theor.\ Math.\ Phys. 138, 333--337 (2004)] is proven. In the case of the Haldane-Rezayi-Pasquier wave function [\textit{F. D. M.\ Haldane} and \textit{E. H.\ Rezayi}, Phys.\ Rev.\ Lett. 50, 956 (1988); \textit{V.\ Pasquier}, C. R.\ Phys. Acad. Sci. 3, 709--715 (2002)], whose deformation is described in terms of Gaudin's determinants, the representation degenertes to the square of the six vertex model partition function.
