Let \(A\) be a quasi-hereditary algebra over a field \(k\), with standard modules \(\Delta(i)\) and costandard modules \(\nabla(i)\). Suppose \(i\) and \(j\) are neighbouring indices in the partial order. Then the authors construct a non-degenerate bilinear pairing \(\Hom_A(\Delta(i),\Delta(j))\times\text{Ext}^1_A(\nabla(j),\nabla(i))\to k\). Under additional assumptions, they also obtain a graded analogue. This works for the BGG-category \(\mathcal O\) and its parabolic analogue. There are interesting consequences for Ringel duality, which in particular is shown to commute with Koszul duality.
