The authors consider the boundary layer differential equation \[ f'''+ff''-\beta {f'}^2=0\tag{1} \] with \(\beta<0\). They are interested in unbounded solutions of (1) defined on some interval \([t_0,+\infty)\) satisfying \[ \lim_{t\to +\infty}f'(t)=0.\tag{2} \] In the paper, the following theorem is proved: Let \(f\) be an unbounded solution of (1), (2). Then, there exists a constant \(c>0\) such that \[ | f(t)| \sim ct^{\frac{1}{1-\beta}}\qquad\text{as} \qquad t\to +\infty. \]
