The authors study the normal form of supercritical Hopf bifurcations with additive white noise. The key result is that a cylinder model in which shear strength and compression rate are not constant and depend on the distance to the origin (see [\textit{M. Engel} et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 365, No. 3, 935--942 (2019; Zbl 1414.37027)]) can be obtained as the large shear and small noise limit for the considered random dynamical system. Both continuity of Lyapunov exponents and existence of positive Lyapunov exponents are proven. The presence of positive Lyapunov exponents allows the authors to draw several conclusions about the nature of the random attractor.
