A cone \(K\subseteq \mathbb{R}^n\) is a subset of \(\mathbb{R}^n\), with the properties that \(K+K\subseteq K\) and \(\alpha K\subseteq K\) for all \(\alpha\geq 0\). A matrix \(A\in\mathbb{R}^{n\times n}\) is said to be \(K\)-monotone if \(Ax\in K\) implies \(x\in K\). A well known result is that \(A\) is \(K\)-monotone if and only if \(A\) is invertible and \(A^{-1}K\subseteq K\). The Lorentz cone is defined as \[ \mathcal{L}_n^+=\left\{x\in\mathbb{R}^n: x_n\geq 0,\ \sum_{i=1}^{n-1}x_i^2\leq x_n^2\right\}. \] This particular cone is important because any ellipsoidal cone can be characterized by a self dual Lorentz cone. The authors study \(K\)-semipositive matrices for different types of proper cones. A further analysis of \(\mathcal{L}_n^+\) is done, and orthogonal and tridiagonal \(\mathcal{L}_n^+\)-semipositive matrices are investigated. The paper is well organized and presented, making it readable for non-expert readers too.
