Fundamental solutions of the plane potential operator for Riemann surfaces are established by conformal mapping. Insertion of these into the Neuber-Papkovich formula yields the corresponding fundamental solutions to Navier's operator. Fundamental solutions for Riemann surfaces can be used as kernels of integral equations with the aid of which it is possible to advantageously treat domains (e.g. plane elastic bodies) with slits or overlapping parts. Numerical results demonstrate the practicability of the method.
