In [ibid. 11, No. 2, 295-299 (1988; Zbl 0657.53002)] the reviewer proved, that a null 2-type surface in a Euclidean 3-space \(E^ 3\) is a circular cylinder \(E^ 1\times S^ 1\). The new result the authors obtain here is the following generalization of the above result: If \(M\) is a null 2-type hypersurface in \(E^{n+1}\) with at most two distinct principal curvatures, then \(M\) is locally isometric to the product \(E^{n-k}\times S^ k\) \((0<k<n)\) of a Euclidean \((n-k)\)-space \(E^{n-k}\) and a Euclidean \(k\)-sphere \(S^ k\).
