Composition of kinetic momenta: The \({\mathcal U}_ q(sl(2))\) case (Q1315007)

The classification of finite dimensional irreducible representations of \(U_ q (sl(2))\) for \(q\) a root of unity is well-known. In this case finite dimensional representations are not always direct sums of irreducible representations. In this paper the decomposition of the tensor products of two finite dimensional irreducible representations of \(U_ q (sl(2))\) in the same or different types for \(q\) a root of unity are studied in detail. They are decomposed into direct sums of irreducible and/or indecomposable representations.
