Summary: Let \({\mathcal H}\) be an infinite dimensional Hilbert space and \({\mathcal P}({\mathcal H})\) the set of all (orthogonal) projections on \({\mathcal H}\). A comparative probability on \({\mathcal P}({\mathcal H})\) is a linear preorder \(\preceq\) on \({\mathcal P}({\mathcal H})\) such that \(O\preceq P\preceq I\), \(I\not\preceq O\) and such that if \(P\perp R\), \(Q\perp R\), then \(P\preceq Q\Leftrightarrow P+R \preceq Q+R\) for all \(P\), \(Q\), \(R\) in \({\mathcal P}({\mathcal H})\). In an earlier paper [Commun. Math. Phys. 132, No. 3, 581-592 (1990; Zbl 0714.46048)], it was shown that weak continuity of \(\preceq\) was a sufficient and necessary condition for \(\preceq\) to be implemented by a normal state on \({\mathcal B}({\mathcal H})\), the bounded linear operators on \({\mathcal H}\). In this sequel to [loc. cit.] we prove that uniform continuity is sufficient and necessary for implementation of \(\preceq\) by a state.
