Construction of superoptimal approximants (Q1906512)

The classical Nehari approximation problem for vector or matrix functions has in general no unique solution. Thus other approximation functionals are considered which will give a unique solution. One of these is the so-called superoptimal approximant introduced by Young. In this paper the authors present an algorithm for the construction of this approximant.
