The author defines the algebraic solution of a system of linear interval equations \(A^I x= b^I\) as an interval vector \(x^I\) satisfying \(A^I x^I= b^I\) in the Kaucher extended interval arithmetic. A method for computing algebraic solutions is presented and some applications are discussed.
