On monotone solutions of a third-order differential equation (Q1919393)

The paper deals with the equation (1) \(L_3 y+ b(t) g(y')+ c(t) y(y)= 0\) and with the linear equation (2) \(L_3 y+ b(t) y'+ c(t) y= 0\), where \(L_3 y= (r_2(t)(r_1(t) y')')'\) and \(r_1(t)\) and \(r_2(t)\) are continuous and positive on \([a, \infty)\). Some theorems concerning the existence and in some cases also the uniqueness of Kneser solutions of (1) and also of (2) are proven.
