A new example of a flexible polyhedron (Q1920856)

The author constructs a closed flexible polyhedron with self-intersections without using Bricard's octahedron. The polyhedron has the same property as the Bricard octahedron: it preserves volume during flexion according to the bellows conjecture. (The conjecture was proved for any triangulated orientable surface mapped into three-space [see \textit{R. Connelly}, \textit{I. Sabitov} and \textit{A. Walz}, Beitr. Alg. Geom. 38, No. 1, 1-10 (1997)]).
