    The author considers a third order differential equation of the type \[ \dddot x+ \gamma \ddot xg'(x)+ \gamma\bigl(ag'(x) +\dot xg''(x)\bigr) \dot x+ \gamma bg(x)= E\sin \omega t, \] where \(g\in C^3(\mathbb{R})\), \(g(0)=0\), \(g'(0)=1\), \(g(-x)=-g(x)\), \(g'(x)>1\) \((x\neq 0)\) and \(a,b, \omega>0\). Using a Lyapunov functional for the homogeneous system \((E=0)\) the author states a result on the uniform boundedness of the solutions for \(E\neq 0\) under some parametric conditions. Finally he quotes Massera's theorem in order to suggest that there exists a global periodic attractor.
