Summary: [For part I of this article see Funkc. Ekvacioj, Ser. Int. 40, No. 1, 55-77 (1997; Zbl 0883.35086).] We consider a selfadjoint operator governing the propagation of elastic waves in stratified media \(\mathbb{R}^3\), where Lamé functions and a density are perturbed in a compact region. In this paper, we prove the existence, the completeness, and the invariance principle of wave operators associated with the selfadjoint operator and a selfadjoint operator governing the propagation of elastic waves in unperturbed stratified media \(\mathbb{R}^3\). The proof is based on an abstract scattering theory due to M. Š. Birman.
