It is straightforward to calculate \(G\)-graded contractions for a given Lie algebra \(L\). Here, this is done for \(G= \mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2\) and \(L=sp (3,\mathbb{R})\), the symmetry group of nuclear collective models. The real graded contractions are calculated under the assumption (which is not proven) that their elements can always be turned into \(\pm 1\) or 0 by a (real) change of basis.
