Joint torsion of Toeplitz operators with \(H^{\infty}\) symbols (Q1288982)

The authors introduce and study the joint torsion, a non zero complex valued analytic index, of a pair of Toeplitz operators with \(H^{\infty}\) symbols. They explain how the monodromy of a flat line bundle is associated to a pair of Toeplitz operators \(T_{\phi}\) and \(T_{\psi}\) with \(H^{\infty}\) symbols, and how the joint torsion provides a link between Koszul complexes and Steinberg symbols.
